With a 2016 BMW 7 series foundation , the 2017 Alpina B7 is a complete 360. BMW’s 7 series pushing 444 hp from its twin turbo V8. While the Alpina is pushing 600 hp with new air intake , bigger air-water cooler, better turbo chargers working with about 20 psi, Mahle pistons. Between 5750 Rpm and 6250 RPM , 0-62 in 3.6 seconds, compared to the BMW 750i 0-60 in 4.4 secs. Alpina Equipped the B7 with a two axle air suspension system, with a maximum ride height adjustment range of 1.6 inches. when going high speeds over 140 mph the car will automatically lower the car by 0.8 inches. can also be raised manually to increase ground clearance up to 20 mph. which would be used to maneuver through bumps , and rugged streets as the bottom would have scratched the ground.
Also comes with rear wheel steering!. basically saying the rear wheels can turn a maximum of 3 degrees. Also come with standard Michelin’s Pilot super sport run flats.
Alpina has also added Switch-Tronic to the new B7, which adds to the long list of gits and gadgets. You can activate it from the steering wheel or the gear selector, and it will make the car hold the manually selected gear even when the engine hits the rev limiter.
